Deported or Not?

In 2009 Sandra Bullock starred in The Proposal. In this movie a book editor (Sandra Bullock) is an immigrant to the USA. She finds out that her passport is being denied. In a panic she tells everyone that she and her assistant are engaged. Her assistant does not like her, but agrees to marry her, as long as she gives him a book editor position. Her assistant is off to Alaska for his grandmother’s birthday, so she comes along to make everyone believe that they are truly in love. In Alaska, these two actually start to fall in love with one another. On the day of their wedding, Sandra Bullock decides that she doesn’t want to get her assistant in trouble so she leaves him at the altar. In the end, they do get together and live happily ever after.
Sandra’s character in this movie is a strong and determined woman. She wants to be the best at everything, and not let anything get in the way. Within time she lets her guard down around her assistant, so she is becoming more lovable to him. In the end her character has a better atmosphere around her, so more people want to be around her. This movie is excellent and makes me laugh every time.

  8. I know it's a romantic comedy, but is the dialogue well written, or is it pretty predictable with all the expected jokes?
