In 1998 Sandra Bullock starred in the movie Hope Floats. In this movie Birdee (Sandra Bullock) finds out that her husband is having an affair with her best friend, Connie. When she finds out about the affair, leaves her husband, and moves back to her old town. When she moves back to town, everyone knows what had happened to her. The town’s people just rub the affair in her face. The one person that is there for her is an old time friend Justin. Justin tries to help her through this difficult time, but he is still in love with her from high school. With the help from Justin, Birdee is able to overcome her difficult time and get back on track with her life.
When it felt like her life was falling apart, Birdee returns home to get over everything that is happening. She has to overcome the affair her husband is having, but also the entire town; that won’t stay out of her business. I would definitely recommend this movie. This movie shows how even if you fill you are hitting rock bottom, there is always hope!
This is one of my all time favorite movies by Sandra Bullock! It is sad how her husband tells her he is having an affair! My favorite character has to be Travis he is so cute and funny.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty good movie! It wasnt my favorite but i love the ending to it. I dont really like Justin suprisingly!
ReplyDeleteI love this movie. I remember her daughter had a hard time having to leave her father too. While Birdee is very depressed her mother helps take care of her daughter. The husband should have thought about his daughter before he had an affair I think.
ReplyDeleteI love chick flicks! Does she end up falling in love with Justin?
ReplyDeleteHmm!! i have never seen this! i will watch it sometime to see if i actually like it!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this.. but it sounds like a good movie. Im probably going to have to go rent it.
ReplyDeletethats a very strong message that is very good for a lot of people to hear.
ReplyDeleteWow, I think I saw this movie a really long time ago. I like the idea of being able to show people that you can make it when they think you've gotten your comeuppance, though.
