The Curse

Practical Magic was filmed in 1998. Sandra Bullock starred in it along with Nicole Kidman.  Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian (Nicole Kidman) Owen have always been different from everyone else. When their parents die they go to live with their aunts, who were everything but typical. Their aunts taught them to believe in “practical magic”, but believing in the practical magic comes at a price. Many people of that town believed that the Owen’s were under curse. The curse is that the men that fall in love with them will die an ill-timed death. When they grow up the two sisters must fight the curse in order to be in love.
This movie was very good. Sandra’s character is a shy gal that has to fight off the curse in order to fall in love with a guy. She works hard to overcome the curse, but she has her setbacks. Determined to cure the curse once and for all she will stop at nothing to be able to be in love.

No Past

In 1995 Sandra Bullock starred in the movie The Net. Bennett (Sandra Bullock) is a Venice, California systems analyst who telecommutes with Cathedral Software in San Francisco. She does everything over the phone or computer, so she is never in contact with the outside world. One day her coworker sends her a floppy disk. Bennett and Dale, her coworker, decide to meet up, Dale dies in a plane crash while going to meet with Bennett. Bennett goes to Mexico to meet up with Delvin. Delvin hires a mugger to mug Bennett and get the floppy disk. She is running away, when she runs into rocks and goes into a comma. When she wakes, her life has been erased, no records of her exists. Bennett starts to investigate to floppy disks and winds up getting into trouble. Bennett is now wanted for murder.
Overall this was an excellent movie. Bennett has to overcome obstacles she is faced with, when all her records are erased. Being wanted for murder she must prove herself innocent without the help of Cathedral Software. Will she be able to free her name of murder?

Against All Odds

In 2009 Sandra Bullock starred in The Blind Side. In this movie Leigh (Sandra Bullock) takes in an African American; Michael Oher.  Michael has been living with a friend, and his friend has decided to get Michael into a Christian school. The school board has a difficult time letting Michael in; they finally let him in. One night after a basketball game, Michael is walking in the pouring rain, when Leigh and her family pull over and pick him up. Michael ends up spending the night in their house. Leigh finds out that Michael has no family, and invites him into her home and family. Michael struggles through school, but with the help of his new family he is able to bring up his grades. Michael joins the football team, and becomes a star player. It is finally time to choose a college, and many colleges want Michael on their team. With the help of his new little brother Michael and S.J go through the colleges to choose one. After college football, Michael goes on to play professional football.
Sandra Bullock is a very inspiring character in this movie. She takes a young man into home, without even knowing anything about him. With his horrible past, Michael learns to love his new family, and open up to each of them. This movie shows that even with horrible past, you can still find a loving family that will love you for who you are. This was an excellent movie, probably one of the few I have cried over.
