Life in the fast lane

Is love, drugs, and alcohol a good combination? In 1999 Sandra Bullock starred in 28 Days. In the movie she surrounds her life with friends that drink and do drugs. After ruining her sister’s wedding; she checks into rehab for 28 days. Here she encounters multiple people with similar handicaps as hers. She has trouble in the beginning and gets caught for doing drugs. She is allowed to stay, where she starts to realize that she needs to turn her life around. She completes her course and is released back into the real world. Once she is out she goes back to hanging out with her old friends, and finally realizes that the people she surrounds herself with influence her actions greatly. With this knowledge she gained from rehab she strikes up the courage to leave her old friends behind and start her new life.
Sandra Bullock’s character in this movie is not a character I suspect her to play. She usually plays the role of an upbeat person, but in this film she is depressed and hurting from past experiences. With all this anger stored up, she tries to fill these voids with drugs and alcohol. In this film it shows that the people you surround yourself with do have an effect on what you will do. This film was a wonderful video that shows how much drugs and alcohol don’t only affect you, but everyone around you as well.

    I have never seen this movie, but it sounds interesting. Yes it shows how alcohol and drugs effect life. Like her ruining her sisters wedding. How sad! I cant wait to watch it.

    I have not seen this movie yet. Notice how I said yet..which means I will probably watch it in the near future. :O) Drugs and alcohol do affect life in many ways and some may not be to good.

    This sounds different but I think that Sandra is a very good actress. Maybe I'll have to check this out.

    I can't remember if I have seen this movie or not. It sounds interesting. I think that this movie sounds like it does show the negative ways that drugs, alcohol and the people you hangout influense your life.

    I've heard of this movie, but I never knew what it was really about. It sounds pretty good. I agree with you on the fact that Sandra usually plays much more upbeat roles. It's always nice when an actress expands her horizions.

    Sounds like a good movie! I have never heard of this movie but im sure it great since sandra bullock is in it :) Sounds like a good positive movie on how drugs and alcohol can affect peoples lives!

    That sounds like a really good movie. I would like to see Sandra Bullock play a drug addict. She is really good, and I think it would be interesting to see a change in her acting style.

    This sounds like an alright movie, I like movies that deal with life and the affects that different things can have on it.
