Baggage from our past

In 2002 Sandra Bullock starred in The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhod. We all have baggage in our past that has made us the way we are today. In this movie Sandra Bullock is a middle aged woman who is on the road of getting married. Sandra’s mother and she are feuding back and forth. Finally the mother’s friend come and take Sid (Sandra Bullock) back to her home town to explain to her why her mother acts the way she does. The movie has lots of flashbacks of Sid when she was a little girl and seeing her mother being a drunk that hates her life, but she also remembers the good times they had together. Her mother does not excuse her bad behavior from the past. Sid and her mother eventually forgive each other at the end of the movie.
This movie is very heart tugging and shows how events in your past can halt you from moving on into your future. You need to learn to deal with the issues you face, and not just shove them into the back of your mind. Sandra’s character in this movie was a strong, silent willed lady who had no intentions of forgiving her mother for the mistakes she had committed. She eventually learns her mother’s past and is better able to comprehend why her mother acted the way she did.

  5. I haven't seen this movie, but I don't think I will. You also have several spelling mistakes in this blog post: sisterhod and come instead of came.

  6. I agree one of the best aspects of this movie is seeing how dealing with a difficult past can help a person move forward to having a positive future.
